1 liter of water

Galangal 2 cm, bruised
Salt to taste
4 tbsp cooking oil for frying
Ground spices :
Onion 4 grains 4
Garlic 2 cloves
2 red chilies
Pecan 2 grains
Turmeric 1 cm
Coriander 1/2 tsp
Pepper granules 1/4 tsp

First of all, grind the spices first. Put the onion, garlic, red chili, candlenut, turmeric, coriander, and pepper grains into the pestle, then grind until smooth. If you want, you can use a food processor or blender to grind the spices.

Then heat as much as 4 tablespoons of cooking oil in a frying pan. After the oil is hot, immediately add the spices that have been mashed earlier. Saute until the spices release a fragrant aroma.

After the spices are fragrant, immediately pour 500 ml of water. Stir briefly so that the spices mix well with the water. Once done, add the chicken, 1 bay leaf, and galangal.

Then stir so that all the ingredients can be mixed evenly, then cook until the water boils and the chicken is cooked. Remove and strain the broth, then shred the chicken. Set aside for a moment.

Cook 500 ml of water then add the rice, cook until the liquid is absorbed into the rice. After that, pour the coconut milk, the filtered chicken stock, 1 bay leaf, and salt to taste.
