A Brief History of Jimbaran Beach

Before becoming a tourist spot, Jimbaran village used to be a fishing village where most of the population fished in the sea. Because the condition of the beach is clean with white sand and beautiful sunset views.

Because of the beauty and cleanliness of Jimbaran beach, many foreign and local investors have invested in the construction of hotels, villas, or restaurants with international standards. The initial development of this beach began in 1988 and in 1992 a five-star hotel was established, namely the Four Seasons Jimbaran.

Since then, Jimbaran village, which used to be known as a fishing village, has now turned into a tourism place.

Jimbaran Beach is located in the South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali Province. The location is 8 km from Ngurah Rai Airport with a travel time of about 15 minutes.

This tour is open 24 hours a day. To enter the beach area, visitors are only charged a parking fee of Rp. 5,000/car, while for motorbikes it is Rp. 2,000/motorcycle.

Beach Cleanliness
Cleanliness on this beach is always maintained because there are janitors who clean the beach area. Also the hotel who always maintains the cleanliness of the beach by holding mutual cooperation events to clean the beach area.

Most of the tourists who visit the beach, of course, apart from looking for food and photo spots, the other goal is to see the sunset. Therefore, in the late afternoon, Jimbaran beach is always crowded with tourists.

Culinary tour
Some local residents of Jimbaran village have a livelihood as fishermen. A variety of fresh fish are caught by fishermen and sold at the Kedonganan fish market. This has inspired the residents to build a restaurant on the beach.

The restaurant offers a variety of seafood dishes such as lobster, grilled clams, grilled fish, grilled squid, shrimp and crab. The dish is served with rice, chili sauce, and lalaban.RS
